Welcome to the Stranger Lab at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital!

The overriding theme of the lab’s research interests is trying to disentangle the relationship between genotype and phenotype, focusing specifically on humans. We approach this broad topic through a combination of experimental and computational approaches designed to elucidate the identity, function, and evolutionary history of functional regions of the genome in order to gain a better understanding of the genetic basis of complex phenotypes, including disease.
